Electric underfloor heating in Hagley, West Midlands

Firstly we supplied some oak bifold doors between the lounge and conservatory and recommended a local builder to fit them. The conservatory had a damp problem on one wall which we sorted out both internally and externally. As you can see from the pictures we then fitted 25mm Ecotherm insulation and 10mm Epanels before fittings the Elements heating mats, This was done to raise the floor so that the Quickstep engineered oak flooring would be level the the bifold door threshold.

The Elements were glued to the floor and screeded over using Mapie ultraplan renovation screed which is flexible. The blue builders DPM (damp proof membrane) is laid to stop condensation between the under floor heating and the Quickstep wood flooring.

Finally the oak flooring is laid and finished off with American white oak skirting. The same same oak flooring was then fitted in the lounge at a later date with all joints lining up with the conservatory.
